You can manage diary pages by date order if tab view mode set to except Fixed mode. When Yearly mode set, tab 1 shows 2008-10-02, tab 2 shows 2009-10-02.
To change tab view mode
Choose "Fixed", "Daily", "Weekly", "Monthly" or "Yearly" from View > Tab View Mode.
